Among the highlights at Bonn’s Beethoven festival this year were two concerts featuring András Schiff and his own chamber orchestra, the Cappella Andrea Barca. The ensemble, which consists of international soloists and chamber musicians, was founded by Schiff in 1999. Hungarian born András Schiff started piano lessons at the age of five . Subsequently he continued his musical studies at the Liszt Academy with György Kurtág and in London with George Malcolm. Recitals and special cycles, i.e. ...
