The outgoing Commander of British Forces in Afghanistan says the war against the Taliban cannot be won. In an interview over the weekend, Brigadier Mark Carleton-Smith said it was time to "lower expectations" and that NATO should focus on reducing the Taliban insurgency to a more manageable level.
